About our Company
The Current Solution Electrical is owned and operated by Davis
resident Dennis Allen. While working in the retail sector for
ten years as an employee of The Home Depot, Dennis earned his
apprenticeship certification in
Electrical Technology in 1996. In 2000, he
left Home Depot to start Service by Dennis, a journeyman electrical
service & repair company. By early 2004, Dennis became a state
licensed C-10 Electrical Contractor. The company name
permanently changed
to The Current Solution to reflect the change in license
status.
Dennis applies ten years of field experience as well as his
formal education to each and every job. When you hire The
Current Solution, you get Dennis' personal skill and expertise,
not that of an hourly employee. We provide friendly, on-time
service and free estimates. We charge either a flat rate for a
job, quoted prior to work beginning, or an hourly rate plus
materials for service calls. Either way you are charged labor
and materials only, no travel time or fees for estimates. We ensure
your job is in compliance with local City, County and National Electric Codes and
we work directly with the building department to permit your job.
We also perform all of the necessary load calculations. You simply
pay the applicable permit fees.
Dennis and his wife Jennifer run the company as a team.
Jennifer is an integral part of the company, providing office
support, job scheduling and customer service. She also designs the
company's print materials, logos and promotional items.
About our Logo
Dennis picked the Ohm's Law pie chart as The Current
Solution's logo. Most, if not all, electrical calculations
can be determined by using Ohm's Law. Ohm's Law defines the relationships between
(P) Power or Watts, (E) Voltage or Volts, (I)
Current or Amps,
and (R) Resistance or Ohms. One ohm is the resistance value through which one volt will
maintain a current of one ampere. V = I * R and so on and so forth!
